KICKBOXING CLASSES
You’ve just decided to join a fitness kickboxing class .... you’re
worried that you might be too old, you’re worried that you might not
fit in, you’re worried that you might look foolish because you don’t
know the moves ... let’s take some of that worry away ..... COME ON IN .... let
us help you visualize your visit to our studio.
When first arriving, we ensure your hands are wrapped properly so that
your knuckles are protected (or you can use boxing gloves). From there,
we get warmed up with a series of dynamic movements related to
kickboxing. You will learn stance position, proper guard position, how
to throw various punches as well as leg kicks. You’ll use focus mitts
and kicking shields. We ensure that you learn how to do this safely so
that you don’t injure yourself.
The class, itself, is set up in circuit format. Rotating from exercise
to exercise ensures a well rounded workout specific to kickboxing. You
will walk away having had a great workout, having learned something
new, fun and challenging .... never having looked at the clock and
wondering WHEN IS THIS GOING TO BE OVER!
It’s important to work at your own pace – just because someone beside
you is going twice as fast as you are doesn’t mean you have to keep up
.... the best part is seeing your own growth from week to week.
The workout will finish with getting the mats out and doing some much
needed stretching to ensure that muscle soreness is minimal. When you
leave the studio, you’ll be glad you came and you’ll be looking forward
to coming back for another session!
We keep class sizes small (maximum 6 participants) .... thus ensuring
that we can work on our kicking and punching techniques with proper
form and safety.
These classes cater to all levels of fitness because you work within
your own fitness capabilities.
